Writing for Magazines

If you’ve ever aspired to write for a magazine, this course will help you on your way. We’ll cover all the basics, including:

  • Identifying magazine-worthy pieces (travel, personal essay, journalism)
  • Finding an angle
  • Choosing target magazines
  • Writing for a magazine audience
  • Online vs print opportunities
  • Reporting vs personal experience: finding a balance
  • Pitching your story to a magazine

We’ll also do some writing exercises and leave plenty of time for questions.
